Parents 2016 Scholarship
Scholarship Criteria:
North Marion Parents will be awarding at least two
scholarships of $250 each.
Eligibility:
1.
Be a graduating Senior at North Marion High
School
2.
Have a G.P.A. of 2.5 or higher
3.
Plan to pursue a degree at an accredited
community college or university.
a. One
scholarship will be for students pursuing studies in the field of Education
(i.e. Early Childhood Education , Teacher, Instructional Assistant, Counseling)
b. One
or more scholarship(s) are open to students pursuing any degree
Process:
Return the
following information in the order given to the Counseling Office by April 1,
2016.
1.
Completed Scholarship Application
2.
One (1) North Marion Staff letter of
recommendation.
3.
One (1) Community letter of recommendation.
4.
An essay (200-400 words) describing how you
decided your field of study and your educational plans/pursuits. Please be specific.
5.
A current official transcript of your high
school courses
6.
List of community service during your high
school career
Conditions of Award:
You will be advised by the Scholarship Selection
Committee of acceptance or decline. To
receive your award a Scholarship Acceptance Form must be completed and returned
to the Counseling Office at North Marion High School.
Deadline: April 1,
2016, Turn in to the Counseling Office.
